As of May 25, 2018, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) will apply. From that date, the same privacy legislation will apply throughout the European Union (EU). The GDPR follows the Dutch Personal Data Protection Act (Wbp) and is also known by its English name: General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Preparation
WICS has been working on preparing for the AVG / GDPR law in recent months. Steps have been taken in the area of privacy and in the software of WICS itself.
Updated Privacy Policy
The new GDPR law therefore requires adjustments to the current privacy policy. View the updated privacy policy here. It states exactly which data is collected by WICS via the website and what is done with it.
Tools WICS
WICS now has a tool available to make orders anonymous (targeted or periodic). In this case, the orders are not deleted, but the personal data is. The customer determines how long it takes before this data is deleted. The customer can also use reversed burden of proof via WICS: it can then be demonstrated in WICS that there are no orders for a specific person.
